I am Madison Delacroix, a student in Southeastern Louisiana University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program and an intern here at Prairieville Counseling. I will graduate in the spring of 2025. My dream of becoming a counselor began when I experienced the positive impact of a great counselor as a young child struggling at school. As I got older, I saw the need for counselors and became passionate about pursuing this career. I'm an animal lover and love singing and listening to music.
I approach counseling with an Adlerian perspective, using techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Narrative therapy to help clients rewrite their stories to better reflect how they see themselves. I have experience working with adults dealing with substance abuse at a local rehabilitation center. I encourage client's to set the pace of our sessions, and I guide them in understanding their behaviors and challenging unhelpful beliefs through a strengths-based approach.
I work with adolescents (ages 14 and up) and adults.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from Louisiana State University. I took an online course in 2020 from Yale called the science of being happy to learn how to cope with the pandemic and help others.
Intake $50
Follow Up $45
I do not accept insurance, EAP's Medicaid or Medicare.
